Entry, Exit, Voice and Loyalty

Albert Hirschman's theory of Exit, Voice, and Loyalty paradigm fits very well with ongoing problems. Theory of exit, voice and loyalty is applicable to the Protest in TRNC (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus).
Conceptual ultimatum confronts nation (the citizens of TRNC) in the face of deteriorating quality of life: either “exit” or “voice” choice.Voice is by nature political and at times confrontational.Exit provides the warning sign of decline that ignored by tight monopoly or political repression.
  • As a consequence of this, people respond to increasing "political repression" in two ways: emigrate or protest.
  • People in TRNC protest against political repression (political oppression) that caused by foreign elements and a foreign will.
  • Increasing pressure for citizen of the TRNC; then they use the other means available to express their discontent, departure from loyalty or no more loyalty.
  • The Turkish Cypriots become a minority in their own country due to traitorous policies-the Closed Door Policies !
I suspect that
  1. The loyal part is decreasing (will decrease) gradually
  2. The voice part has increased (will increase) gradually. The voice part has increased during the 2010 and onwards.
  3. The exit part will continue to increase if the the Trade Union Platform will not protest heavily, and if the North Part of Cyprus will not enter into the EU.
